To All Big Red Sub Club Members,
It is with great sadness that we must report that Master Chief Swift has passed from us. Jerry made his final command change Wednesday, 21 December, 2011 at 1600 hours. For all these years "Swifty" has anchored our club to make certian that the crews and dependents of our USS Nebraska are recognized and cared for as they carefully cared for our security under the sea. Our anchor will certainly be missed.
As you all know, the greatest reward a sailor can receive from any skipper is: Well done. Master Chief, your club, with dignity and full military resolve, says: Well done.
Memorials should be sent to the family in the name of Jerry for assignment to the Master Chief's charities. The address is:
